February 2019

RIP "Sunshine"... After Abby's birthday beta fish died, we got her a goldfish.  Actually, two goldfish.  And then found out they need huge tanks.  They both died within a week.

And there goes Goldie...

Abby's class at CC getting ready to do an art project.

On our backs pretending to paint like Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel...

Micah's Foundations class got to go observe the Challenge A class for a little bit.  They can't wait for next year!

When you really want to camp, but you don't want to be outside.  Notice the open window too. 😀

Beautiful weather to read outside...

Abby started using one of my scarves to carry her "baby" around.  (That baby doll was actually mine when I was little... her name was Beth and she went with me everywhere!)

More art at CC...

Science experiments...

Ms. Debbie had a "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" book club and ended it with a chocolate party at her house, complete with candy-based experiments. :)

Did you know that if you soak M&Ms in water that their "M"s will float away?

Holding an "M"...

My friend Kristel always says that Abby reminds me of her daughter Mary Kaylin at that age.  I can totally see why!

A "Chocolate Bar..."

Watching the old school movie...

Abby started not feeling good during the movie... I think she had a low fever.  Going home and taking a good nap seemed to help. :(

We took a field trip to JAARS, Wycliffe's "Jungle Aviation and Radio Services" ministry.  It was one of the coolest field trips I've ever been on!

Demonstrating all the obstacles that a missionary faces in order to go into an unreached area with the gospel... it takes a lot of people to help in Bible translation!

A wheel made from wood.  One of the pilots who landed in a jungle broke a wheel on his plane, so this was the replacement.

The audio wave of the words "Translating God's Word"...

Old-school tools in Bible translation...

Recording our own voices into the Jesus Film...

In the alphabet museum...

I don't know who gave Caleb this shirt, but he was very excited to wear it on a Sunday morning. 😋

Calvin and Hobbes stories before bed with Dad...

Micah plays for worship a lot of Sundays now.  This was Zuri's first time singing.

Burning the old rocking chair that broke...

The little cuties that Beth and Lily watch in the nursery at CC...

They were supposed to make a shape like a snow flake to hang down in a solution (to grow crystals on.)  Micah made a guy hanging by a noose. 😳

Playing "Around the World" in Essentials... Micah ALMOST won!
Caleb and Abby made homemade pizza with Grandma and Grandpa.

Making waffles while Dad gets ready for work...

For an art project at CC, I needed to take pictures of each kid and turn them into black and white sketches using an app on my phone.  Of course, Caleb couldn't do a "normal" picture...
