My September pictures uploaded in backward order. Oh well!
One Wednesday after CC, I went to clean my shower and pulled back the curtain to find a little toad IN OUR BATHTUB! The boys said they didn't do it, so all I can think is that this guy crawled up the toilet or a pipe somewhere. 😨
Just a few hours earlier, while teaching the Essentials class at CC, a mom went to get a broom out of the broom closet and found a SNAKE skin that had been shed over the broom. Meaning that a snake picked that spot to GET BIGGER. (Pretty sure the plagues of 2020 are starting!)
Presentations at CC:
Presenting tin whistle...
What Caleb does during Micah's cross-country races:
The last Sunday of September, we were FINALLY able to rent ta pavilion ay Westminster Park (as long as we didn't have over 50 people... everyone else Zoomed in.) All the other parks (city parks) and not renting out pavilions or facilities because of COVID. Karl and Lindsey came to lead worship, and we all had communion and a meal afterward, so that was awesome!
Becca had a birthday party, so we jumped in and made it for Caleb too. :)
Caleb started soccer. It will be a short season, but it will get him moving! (Abby also started back up with weekly dance lessons too on Thursday afternoons.)
We went over to the Kaufman's house so Micah could mow grass, and this black widow spider had a web right across their front door. September was the month for creepy animals popping up in weird places!
We had CC on Caleb's 11th birthday, so we brought in chocolate cupcakes for Essentials class!
Ben "figuring out" the PS4 for the kids...
Caleb and Micah had been saving up to buy a PS4 system. We gave Caleb a couple PS4 games for this birthday, and then told him that if he was ready to put in some money, that Micah would put in some more money, and Daddy and I would fill in the rest of the gap. He quickly agreed, so we told him we would order it. Little did he know that we assumed he would say "yes!" so we had already ordered the PS4. Micah pretended to be the delivery man bringing it to the door.
Of course, big brother had to torment the little brother by making him "sign" for the package... multiple times.
Micah and Abby got him this Mandalorian Lego set...
I got to sub for Micah's class one morning. He was NOT happy about having me in there for his presentation. :)
On a super pretty day, we packed up some of our school stuff and went to Glencairn Gardens to read and finish up school:
Sunbathing turtles...
We brought bread to feed ducks, but since we didn't see any ducks, we fed this big old granddaddy turtle instead...
Abby asked, "Can we still hold their hands even though it's COVID?"
We had Ella Claire and Camden Moody over one night to play games. Ella also made me take an Enneagram quiz. I'm not surprised by the outcome. :)
It finally happened! Micah is as tall as me, or slightly past!
Not sure how this ended up happening, but Micah and Ben did a pushup contest that night. Micah and Abby and I tied the plank contest at holding a plank for 3 minutes!
Ella demonstrated proper push-up technique with her one push-up. 😂
This was the fun game the Moody's brought with them... we liked it!
Doing "table time" for school in the woods beside our house on another beautiful day!
Louis and Lisa doing a story/demonstration for the kids Sunday morning. :)
Always a ham... (He wanted to put a mask on the mannequin too, but I wouldn't let him.)
Mom/Grandma Bender sent me this picture of Dad/Grandpa meeting his great-granddaughter, Piper, for the first time!
Caleb's Foundations class at CC...
Playing at the Thompson's house one night. I'm not totally sure why they were all hiding behind the trailer, but it was cute. :)
Ben and Micah went golfing. We had to have a goofy photo session first. :)
Getting instructions (in their masks) before the 1K...
Sizing up the competition:
Guys' night at our friend's, the Fichtinger's...
Snuggling up at Grandma's. (They came for a visit the very first of September.)
Abby wanted to do a presentation on hair chalk...
Caleb depicted Chart A from Essentials using just cookies...
