July 2020

July!  The 4th of July, I dropped Ben and the kids off at the Catawba River to float down the river with the Ziebers.  A great quarantine activity, right?  (Except that there were TONS of people with the same idea!)  I stayed home to do my online training for tutoring the Essentials class at CC.

The kids had routine yearly doctor's appointments.  Because of COVID, we had to call when we got there, answer a bunch of questions, then wait in the car until the nurse would come get us for our appointment.  And masks during the whole appointment.

One more house project... replacing the ceiling fan in the sunroom.  Yay!

A team effort...

Lego Mania continues... our dining room table became some sort of Lego city. :)

A beautiful evening to go hit some golf balls...

The kids and I drove to Columbia for a day to explore the South Carolina State Museum and see a planetarium show.  Everything was very "COVID-conscious" and we had to wear masks the whole time.

Creepiest part of the whole museum... A replica of one of the first submarines used in the Civil War.  The sub never made it back up to the surface, and the dummies they used for the display looked like they were the originals. 😳

We thought of Grandpa Bender at this display!

In the planetarium to learn about black holes...

Trying to do the 3-D poster:

Yes, Caleb spent most of his time in the museum trying to blend into the displays.. 😂

Grandma and Grandpa came for about a week toward the end of July...

Ice cream and Harry Potter.  Caleb living his best life now...

Uno was the game of the month... someone was always playing it. :)

Ben took Caleb with him to work one afternoon to help stuff newsletters.  Of course, Caleb took everything totally seriously...😆

Kids just playing around.  Micah is suddenly shooting up... and getting a deep voice too!!

Abby likes to put on my stuff and say things like, "Hi, I'm Mommy! Do your schoolwork!"

Abby went to her friend Annabelle's cute little princess party...

And just because this is so true...
