Dennis, Machelle, Natalie, and Jenna came to visit the beginning of March for a slightly-extended weekend! This is what the whole weekend looked like: Micah and Natalie playing Spikeball. :)
Dennis showing off his incredible talent...
Or maybe it's just because he's a blockhead that makes it easy for him to do this...
We went to Westminster Park and introduced the Benders to geocaching:
While Caleb tried fishing in the Catawba. (No luck, per usual!)
Just want to give him a little nudge... :)
Sunday afternoon (the last day in South Carolina), we played flag football again. On the second play of the game, Dennis popped a muscle in his leg! Guess that's what happens when you're almost 50 and don't warm up or stretch first!
With Mock Trial prep in full swing, Micah went over to Isaac Shaw's house to work on it together several Tuesdays. This table was the perfect size for them. 😆
50s Day at CC. A few of the Challenge A & B kids...
One warm evening, we went downtown Rock Hill to get some dessert and sit outside. It was so awesome to see so many people out downtown! After a year of Covid, downtown is totally different... so many new spots... it felt like the city was alive again!
Making funny poses with the fountauin as a backdrop:
She can ALMOST do a split...
Touching her head with her toes...
Can you guess what Caleb is pretending to do here?
Caleb and Abby put up the tent in Caleb's room one night to "camp out." Nevermind that it took up the entire room!
March Madness! They missed it since it was canceled from COVID last year...
We started cleaning up some brush and burning leaves. Always fun for the kids!
Working on "probability" at CC. Pancakes, probability, and pajama day! (PJ day is always the Wednesday after the daylight savings time ends.) :)
Caleb attempting to fly his homemade kite:
One especially warm day in March, Caleb and Abby broke out the bathing suits. They were a little eager for summer!
Sunbathing in the front yard afterward...
Getting ready for Faces of History. Caleb picked Einstein because he was an eccentric, messy guy... and because Caleb really wanted to buy this wig. :)
Adoniram Judson, Albert Einstein, Jim Thorpe, George Washinton, Bill Gates, Abraham Lincoln:
Grooving in the car on the way to Faces of History!
Nerd Day at CC! :)
Working on the orchestra...
Presenting on her baby doll, Gabby:
Moms night out! At Kounter, one of the new places in downtown Rock Hill:
Teen night. This time they actually DID have discussion after hanging out for a while!
I was spraying for mosquitoes and came within a couple feet of this guy. I realized he lives in our crawl space! 😨
And the next day we saw this tiny baby bunny right outside the crawl space door. We were hoping the snake didn't find him!
Micah playing some tunes during the "talent show" (for Foundations' week 24 Fine Arts.)
A group of cross country runners at one of their "off season unofficial practices" doing wall-sits.
Ben's usual just-home-from-work position... :)
Micah had fun sneaking up on this little guy right outside our front door:
Teens/kids at church. We're still wearing masks when we meet indoors...
Still cheering on the Browns...
The view from Ben's office window as they tear down the old Comporium building across the road. Ben said he and Mike couldn't get any work done because they just kept watching the demolition. 😆
When I went to Mom's night, Ben was in charge of grilling dinner for the kids. Only problem is that it started POURING rain. So what does a Dad do? Send his kid out and tell him to flip the chicken! As I was leaving I heard Caleb (through the downpour) yelling, "This is really bad parenting, Dad!" 😆
Abby went to a girly little sleepover for her friend, Julia's, birthday...
