January 2020

Just because this made me laugh:

We had a "Moms-only prep day" at my house for CC's writing class, Essentials.  The training was shorter than we thought it would be so we went out for Mexican food and then my friends came back to my house to teach me how to curl my hair. 😂  The lesson we all learned is that I will never take the time to actually do this to my hair because my hair does NOT want to be/stay curled. So I took a picture to remember what it COULD look like.  (And I took it with the mug that one of my friends left at my house.  She's known for leaving stuff. :))

The Ziebers (and Caleb Thompson) serving food at the House of Agape:

Learning about sound at CC:

Abby turned 8 on January 10 and she REALLY wanted to have dance classes for her birthday.  The day before her birthday, I told her she was starting her dance classes that afternoon!

Abby's 8th birthday!

She wanted to go roller skating with friends and what started out as trying to get just 3 friends to come on a weeknight, turned into 10 friends on a super crowded Saturday. 😳  It was so sweet for Lindsey and the kids to come up from Greenville for the day to celebrate!

I think they are doing "Baby Shark" song here...

Trying out the Hurricane Machine. :)  At least one of those girls is not even with our group. 😂

The "popular" gift of the year... LOL dolls.  Abby just wanted as many as possible.

Reading her Bible in Daddy's Bible-reading spot:

One of my Essentials tutors moved during the school year and was unable to keep teaching, so after Christmas I took over tutoring Essentials!  It was a lot on top of directing, but it was fun at the same time!
Working out puzzles in Essentials class:

Caleb reading his paper for the class:

Abby loves being around the Chinese students during International Fellowship's monthly Friendship Dinner:

Snuggle buddies:

Micah with his completed Science Fair board.  He worked so hard to make it look great!

One evening we went to Barnes and Noble to relax.  Micah's "fun" for the evening was grabbing a book on Algebra an seeing if he could figure out some problems that he had not yet learned about.  He pulled Ben into it of course. :)

Abby finally got a fish that survived!  Violet was a birthday present, and (unlike the other fish we tried), she DIDN'T DIE right away!

Painting water lilies like Degas...

Trying on an outfit for the science fair.  He definitely looks like a teenager!

Licking the beater after Caleb makes cookies (right after dance class) :)

This is the month I found out I'm going to be a great aunt!  Brady and Miranda are expecting a baby!
