We got the house!  Yay!  Now comes the craziness.  We're trying to decide if we can put in the 45-day notice on our apartment, or do we ask if they would consider letting us stay one extra month (it automatically renews to 3 months if we don't get out by Oct 31) so we could work on the house without living in it at the same time.
For those who couldn't find our link from before (MACHELLE) :)  here it is again:

Ben also got offered a promotion at work today.  But it would require evenings, which he just can't do.  (That's when we have our community group meetings and do stuff like coach soccer so we meet people or have people over for dinner.)  So he turned it down.  ALTHOUGH, there is a chance that if another supervisor would be willing to switch to evenings, he could get a day shift.  It's a long shot, but you never know.  We'd still much prefer him to find a job in Rock Hill that would pay more than $10/hour.  Of course, maybe having a promotion at work would open more doors on the resume to get a job in Rock Hill that pays better.

In less-important but just-as-exciting news (according to our kids), I was about to throw away our jar of caterpillars tonight, thinking they were all dead, when I realized one of them actually had a cocoon going on.   We may not be caterpillar-farmer failures after all!

This is a pictures of our "girls' night" Saturday.  Lindsey taught us how to paint!  It was sooo fun!  I might have to take up painting as a hobby some day.  Also, the women had a blast.  Church planters were officially out-numbered 3 to 5.  Although one of the woman officially wants to commit to our church (along with her husband), and another told Lindsey that she is very interested.  Here's my final painting.  Not really hang-on-the-wall worthy, but I felt like it was pretty good for my first try.   (Lindsey drew the pears on ahead of time... I just did the painting part):
