October 2022

 Obviously, the big news of October is that MARVEL AND MARVENS CAME HOME!!!

But we did do a few things before that. :)

Micah and Ben had a bet.  If Micah broke 20 minutes in a 5k before Ben broke 30 minutes, Ben would buy Micah Freddy's ice cream, and vice versa.  Since Micah broke 20 minutes at Metrolina, Ben made good on his promise the following weekend.  Of course, Micah invited some friends to join us.

House church at our house... competing to put the events in Exodus in order. 

Micah put on his sub-20 hat to play Helen in Uno so it would go fast. :)

Cross Country Race at Gaston Christian.  Micah got a 20:24, and was sprinting to the finish with Sam Carlisle.  I didn't get to take pictures or video since I was timing.  (There wasn't a clock, so I wanted to use my phone to see what time Micah got.) My friend Georgia accidently took a slow-motion video of Micah as he came on the track though. 😆 "Everyone" went to Moe's afterward of course.

Zoo!  Since Oct 3-7 was break week from CC, and since the weather was beautiful, we went to the zoo for the day.  (With Helen.)

Caleb and Micah disagreed on whether this was an alligator or a crocodile.  Micah won.

They wanted to take a picture with like every statue. 😆

It seemed like this penguin kept trying to put his arm around the other penguin. 😆

We went to a Fall Fun Day at Cherry Place Farm with the International Ministry.

One Saturday, Micah went for a long run (7 miles), and I realized when I was out running errands that I was close to where he was.  So I had to stalk him a little. :)

And then came... THE MARVS!!!  But that story will take separate post(s) in itself!
