Ben hosted a fantasy football party in September for Dads and sons...
Micah playing the "pie in your face" game with his friends:
He lost: :)
For some reason, Abby and Caleb picked up the hobby of mixing colored water. It was rarely mess-free.:
Riding the swing with Daddy:
Taking advantage of an evening that wasn't as oppressively hot. :) Caleb figured out for the first time how to pump his legs to make himself go on the swing.
Caleb and Abby started "doing their own laundry". Those last few socks at the bottom are a little hard to reach. :)
I'm always a little overzealous at the beginning of the school year and we do things we never continue for most of the rest of the school year. Here they are coloring some "historical coloring pages" while I read to them about Richard the Lionhearted. Abby has really been getting into taking her time coloring and trying to stay in the lines.
Sometimes her hair does this cute little curl:
13 years of marriage on September 13! We had a $50 gift card to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. Most definitely the fanciest place I've ever been to! (It ended up that the $50 paid for about HALF of our meal.) We declined dessert, but when they found out it was our anniversary, they brought us out this little cheesecake and chocolate torte. Everything was amazingly good!
I love watching how she focuses. :)
This is a bad picture, but it's all I got. Mike Jette was the keynote speaker at a banquet on generosity, and he did a great job sharing his life story of how the Lord led he and Sharon to live a life of generosity...
Most of the time after CC, we stop in at the library. Sometimes other families end up there too. Abby and 3 other little girls from CC all ended up on the computers at the same time:
Working on a Lego set Caleb got for his birthday!
Kids at Caleb's 7th birthday party on the 23rd:
Babysitting Caedmon... we laughed and laughed at him in his "marshmallow suit" that he sleeps in for naps.
I enjoyed a girls' night out... dinner out and then we all put on jammies and ate chocolate and watched most of "My Fair Lady" at Tess's house.
Our friends the Thompson's had a new baby (number EIGHT!), so I got to meet little Abraham, and we enjoyed great Sunday evening dinners at the Wallat's house and the Hamlin's house.
